How One Man Beat Middle Aged Spread

Not many men my age will admit to going on a diet but plenty of us would secretly like to. In my case I was almost two stones above my ideal weight and didn't like the way I looked. I didn't look good in the pool on holiday with the kids and I certainly didn't enjoy looking at myself in the mirror.

I decided to follow the Complete Lifestyle programme because it claimed that it wouldn't make me give up the things I enjoyed. That was certainly true but once you try it you'll realize that the subtle changes you make to the way you live mean you don't crave the foods you used to and you naturally opt for healthier choices.

As a business owner I work long days, often 12 hours with little opportunity for a break. I started taking juices to work to sustain me through the hectic days and cut down on sugary snacks.

As part of the programme I chose to follow Complete Lifestyle's 7 day juicing diet to accelerate my weight loss. On day one I weighed in at 97.8kg and at the end of the week I was down to 94.4kg.

I also started walking for an hour before work and took juices in airtight flasks. My nightcaps changed from wine to peppermint tea and I not only dropped pounds, I also slept better than I had for a long time.

I am really pleased with my weight loss and will definitely continue to live a healthier lifestyle. I have loved adding good stuff in and now don't even feel like I want the bad stuff back.
